Chihuahua And Chiweenie Locked Up

I had the most upsetting day. I spent most of it locked up in Mommy's room with the chiweenie - bratwurst and three (!) cats! Whatever happened to my dignity? Why would Mommy punish me so? She blamed it on Deputy Dog (aka The Walrus, that's what I call this mastiff). Not only was I stuck in the room for several hours, I had to listen to Frankie screaming her head off.
The Walrus
After the Walrus's departure, I expected Mommy to make it up to us. Instead, she took off with Linguini, the dalmatian and german shorthaired pointer mix. She told me I'd be safer at home because I was a small dog. When she got back, I was going to have a chat with her, but she looked so sad, I didn't have the heart to. She had gone deeper into the Angeles Crest National Forrest and she had seen more of the Station Fire aftermath. Linguini looked more grey rather than black and white from the soot.

Later yet, when I was completely convinced Mommy was going to make it up to Frankie and me, she took off with Frankie! It's Tuesday, dog obedience training day. Again, I was left behind. Mommy came home glowing with pride. Apparently lil' chiweenie had aced her dog obedience training class, again.
And the best dog obedience training student award goes to ... Frankie!
I even got dog treats!

Ugh. "What about me?" I wanted to scream as Mommy pulled me aside and gave me a special sweet potato treat. Did she really think I could be bribed so easily? Aha! Affirmative. 'Cause I love my Momma, she's the best and tomorrow I bet she'll make it up to me.
I'm feeling pretty confident she will.

  1. Oh, sorry you had a bad day Twinky, we all do sometimes.
Congrats to Frankie for being such a clever girl and we love 'The Walrus' so sweet.
Wow, that looks extremely muddy in the forest, you would definitely need a bath after that.

  2. That is no walrus! Shame on you! It is a most handsome dude. I understand why you were in lockdown. Most likely tormenting the poor guy like my nephews do to me.

Of course at our house, we always make the guests go in the slammer, so might want to talk to mom about that one.

  4. Whooooh, you were attacked by a walrus??? Your mom put you in the Brig? What a way to end a grrreat year. Well, at least Frankie did well and Sweet potato snacks are always good.
I suspect it is for the best that Linguini is the only one who had to gaze upon that sad forest scene.
2010 Is coming Twink. I just HAS to be better. I'm just sayin'.

  5. We are sorry to hear that you were locked up most of the day. That's never fun. We are certain your Mommy will make it up to you though. Mommies are pretty good about that!

  6. That forest path looked pretty sad after the fire. Maybe by spring, green stuff will return. Sorry you had to go to jail, but at least you got the nummy sweet potato snack.

  8. I now realize why Mommy left me behind. She was watching out for me. Today she's taking only me to the airport to pick up her favorite son (she only has one of those). I'm special, plus my treat was exquisite!

  10. I had a look back and saw that you live near the place where there was that awful fire in October - I think it was October.

I think you, us (victoria in Australia) and maybe, France, are the most fire-prone places in the world. (Maybe some of Canada also, not sure.)
I'm sorry you had that fire! We're certainly worrying about fires over here, because some experts say one of the effects of climate change will be fierce, unstoppable fires.

  11. Soo, what did become of that big walrus dog thing? Did it flop into the pool and stay there? He is a bit on the handsome side, however I wager to say he could make a snack out of you in one bite. It was probably best mom kept you safe in the bedroom.

Mom has a lot of making up to do bringn' bratty Betty into the house with her foul farts. It's gonna take more than a tasty treat too!

    Love ya,
    Stella
