Chiweenie Potty Training Tips | Murphy's Law

The basic statement of Murphy's Law is "If anything can go wrong, it will." It has enough variations to fill at least one book. Let me explain why my interest in ol' Murphy; Frankie, my puppy chiweenie sissy. That's my reason. Momma has been asking me for the past two days to post to our friends that Frankie is finally potty trained. BOL Hasn't she heard of Murphy's Law? I finally agreed and promised to post tonight about Frankie's success in controlling her bladder (by the way, she graduated from her dog obedience training class and even got a silly star stuck on her forehead to prove it). All of a sudden, I heard the familiar and special scolding voice our mother uses on Frankie.

Ha ha. Can you all see the wet spot on the bed covers? I am a witness to the fact that our momma has washed both quilts and cover at least one to five times a week, since Frankie became a part of our family. This chiweenie puppy is going to write the book on how to potty train a puppy!

I tried to find a Frankie photo in which she looks the guiltiest. There were many to chose from, so in the end I settled for this. (Don't miss the paw action).

PS: Mom's in the other room doing the laundry.

I was done with my post when I got a notice from Dip-Dip and The Bridge inviting me over to pick up the Showing Some Love Award. My dear tiny friends: Dinah, Bridget, and baby bro Elliot, I was on my way regardless. Blogger friends, you should check out Dip-Dip and The Bridge for yourselves if you haven't yet. It's one of my favorites.

As we all party on, our friend Mango, another favorite blog, is working his tail off with his famous Mango Minster 2010 competition. All I want to say about the contest is: we can all help out by reading the rules thus giving Mango some time to meditate--since he needs it so.

  1. Sorry fur all the laundry your mom is doing. Frankie is so cute though, luv the paws folded pose. :-)

And now Twinkie, we need to talk about something very serious here. You commented on my blog that your mom runs a SQUIRREL RESCUE??? At your HOME???!!! Twinkie, squirrels don't need to be rescued... There is a war going on! We need to be rescued from THEM!!!! They are evil. Evil, I say!!! Be very careful Twinkie, the enemy has infiltrated your home!

    Luv,
    Cloud

PS. Mom says your squirrel rescue is sweet, but she has no idea of the true nature of these evil creatures...

  2. Hi Twinkie
sorry that Frankie is still having accidents...she will get better soon I am sure. I didn't know about the squirrel rescue. My mom and dad used to feed them all the time, but since I came to live here, they don't come around very much.

  3. I completely understand Frankie's (the OTHER Frankie) paw placement and pleading visage. I was there once. Butt I am living proof that "and this too, shall pass". No Pun intended. Learning the "proper" place to put IT is a difficult concept for some of us.
And... I am sure that you know it really isn't fair to go... Neener Neener Neener... Look what SOMEONE did. I'm just sayin'.
Hey Twinkie, I read about your sponsorship prize. I bopped over and took a look at what your BOOK was about. That is GRRRREAT. You are an AUTHOR!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! AND... GUESS WHAT... I am on a Calendar too!!! I'll have to take pics and post them. It is what my sister (Lori) gave mom for Christmas.

Tell your mom sorry bout Frankie but sometimes these things just take a bit longer than expected. Just tell Frankie to lay down and look the other way and pretend that nothing was heard, works for me!!

  10. What is wrong with everybody??? Why are you always being so kind to the Bratwurst? No sympathy for our bed, our noses, our washer? Nada? Anything Frankie does is "so cuuuute". Tsk tsk. I think I'll be the one to go tinkle on the bed next.

  11. TWINK! you're funny! poor frankie. he looks way guiltier than Juno looks when she eats my shoes or our bills and mail!

Yes, twink, our toofs look MEAN on the photos, but rest assured, L&J are ONLY ACTING! they love to play tough but with "little" dogs, they are super gentle. Especially Loki. He looks the tough part, but he's just a big silly boy who's extremely polite to little dudes like you. Juno is as well, but that's a given, cuz she's a chick. We get the "Loki looks mean" a lot but he's totally all act! and a SERIOUS DRAMA QUEEN! Everyone at school laughs at him when he makes a mistake and i have to correct his mistake and reset him, he's all araraaarrrragggrarearragggh! then i reset him and he's all "oh, that's what you wanted? that's easy..." but he's always quite dramatic about being wrong. so Twink, never fear. Wild Dingo staff are DOG and PEOPLE friendly and polite!! And toofs only come out when someone initiates play. They are never out for being naughty or aggressive or mean, to anyone! ever! :)

  14. Poor Frankie - such a cutie. Are you sure it isn't dribble from chewing on that bone we see there? Love those paws.

Congrats on your award, we need to meet those guys, we see them on other blogs commenting, may as well so say hi now.

  15. Frankie - you just SPILLED a glass of water, not wee wee. You were helpfully tidying the bed when all of a sudden a breeze came in the window and the glass fell over, wink wink.
That is so sweet, you totally deserve your showing the love award and we love you all to bits!
Wags and kisses, Dinah Bridget and Elliot xx
ps, Mum always calls him little El too :D

  17. Furiends and their Peoples: Our family is all in stitches over your comments. We also can't figure out why everybody is so nice to Frankie! BOL As I was telling a friend, maybe after she grows up (according to the other Frankie, hopefully in no less than 87 years) and after she stops lithping, she can get her own Bratwurst blog. There!
    BOL

  18. Ruh roh... looks like poor Frankie is in trouble.

Ya know Twink, I myself know to go outside. But sometimes I like everyone to know that certain things are MINE, so I mark them. Yeah, I know I'm a gal, but I still mark stuff, specially bedding. And onetime mom had a kitty that didn't feel well in her pee pee and tinkled on stuff she wasn't supposed to. Orrr... maybe Frankie just like peein' on stuff.

    Love ya,
    Stella

  19. Yeah, that is still happening around here, too. We are pretty sure that Gimli and Mercy are going outside, but there are still a few wet spots that show up in the washroom by the doggy door whenever it rains, and since Gimli and Mercy come in damp and Pippin DOESN'T, we have a pretty good idea WHO it is... We just can't seem to catch him at it.

Also, when Mom takes us all out sometimes in the evening, Gimli and Mercy always piddle right where she can see, and Pippin won't even though he sees the others get their jerky treats when they do. Dott
