California 4:04 A.M. earthquake hits Pico Rivera, about 20 miles from my home, in the Foothills. I growled and let out a little bark. My animal instinct kicked in BOL Linguini and Frankie slept through it. M jumped up from a lying to a standing position on the bed. Our house, which is built on granite, shook a lot.
Twinkie
Glad you're ok. I hope you don't get any more of that scary ground- shaking stuff!
ReplyDeleteTwinkie oh my gosh that must have been very very scary. We are so glad you are all ok...and we hope there ground behaves from now on.
ReplyDeletePoor M will be sleepy all day because I expect she did not get back to sleep.
Madi and Mom
OMD, that is horrible. We have never felt and earthquake and we don't want to either. I am really glad your all OK. When you house shakes, do you have to have it checked out to make sure it is OK? This is scary stuff to a New Englander.

OMD what a scary thingy. I can't believe the others slept through it. Did the little peanut wake up when your M did???
ReplyDeleteHow often do you feel them where you live? I wonder how strong it was?
Take care and get a nap.
Oh my Dogness, thank doG you guys are all okay! We've never had the ground shake up here, but it sounds pretty scary!!
ReplyDeleteWaggles & Chi kisses, Chewy & Lilibell
That would be scary! Nothing shakes in Minnesota except the couch when I jump on it....
ReplyDeleteI remember being awakened by the jolt and then rolling of an earthquake in CA. My husband joked that he'd discovered where my loyalties lay because I grabbed a dog to pull into a doorway with me... Jeez, I figured that my husband knew what to do, and would pull our other dog to safety as well! But, he loves telling the story...
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you're all OK!
Oh no, Glad your ok there Twink. I rememeber we had our earthquake, people were scared but we all slept through it lol

So scary! Did you feel it more because you're little? Is that why Linguine could sleep through it?
ReplyDeleteOhmygoodnesses, Twinkie! How skeery! I can't believes that Linguini slept through the whole earth moving! Good job with the growly thing. You are Most Brave, my furend.
ReplyDeleteWiggles & Wags,
Mayzie
We heard about your earthquake. I'm so glad everyone is okay.
ReplyDeleteBut Twink I'm worried. Your jumped on the bed instead of running for the hills with you? Tell her jumpin' on the bed during an earthquake isn't a good idea.
Love, Gunther
It must be a little freaky to live somewhere where the ground can't seem to stand still... I wonder if it's like being on a boat..
ReplyDeleteB
hey Twink, i just read this and i pray that you guys are fine and will Not experience anymore shakey ground.
ReplyDeleteplease take extra care as i will keeeeeel you if anything happens to you or your family

ReplyDeleteSlobbers,

I'm glad you are okay! Mom has been through a couple of earthquakes, and says that she'd just as soon avoid any future ones! I have a feeling I don't think I'd think be able to sleep through the earth moving!

Pupdate? BOL I hadn't heard that one yet. We're all fine! There were no injuries, but we sure felt it! It was only a 4.4 but it was also very close to us. They are saying in the news that the chances of this one being a foreshock are only 5% and they keep diminishing.
ReplyDeleteI still can't believe Linguini and Frankie kept snoring as it hit us. Maybe they're not rescue dogs and I am?
Twinkie
So very glad you and yours are Okeedokee after your corner of the world shook.
ReplyDeleteI'm laughin' at Coco keeelin' you if anything happens to you. She's a sweetie, ain't she?
Keep up the great rescue work Twink!
