The pregnant cat has just arrived at her new home
She's tiny and probably real young too
She decided to explore the famous yellow bathroom first
Not sure why, but all our cats love this bathroom
Max, the Maine Coon cat, was the welcome committee
After this initial encounter, they both forgot about each other
The tailless twins though, can't stand the poor kitty
I, the teacup chihuahua, had to say "hello" too
I just prefer a safe distance
She soon found the clean laundry pile
Please don't have the kitten birth there
Affectionate pregnant cat
Flashing her pregnant tummy
Her first catnip experience
She sniffed but showed no other interest in it
Farrah's arrival was a shocker. We have no idea when the kittens are due since we don't know how long Farrah has been pregnant. We're going to do right by her and love and nurture her for now. We are both excited and a tad nervous. Welcome to our family,
Farrah.
Farrah.

Oh, that is so nice. Not too many would take in a pregnant kitty. That takes a special kind of family. She does seem like a very nice kitty, I must say. This is going to be interesting to see as things develop.

Good luck to Ferah! Will there be a baby shower? A pool to guess how many kittens and how many boys and girls? It would make a fun fundraiser! Anyhow, we'll be looking forward to the kitten pictures!
ReplyDeleteBunny
P.S. If you'd like to mail me a kitten, Twink, I'll send you my address! I keep trying to talk Mom and Dad into letting me get one, but they say stuff about Lilac being old! Hmph!

Hi Twinkie! We have mostly lurked before but we had to post about how awesome it is for you all to help this poor pregnant kitty. She looks very young and is quite a cutie! Our friends took in a pregnant feral in March and she had the kittens at the end of March - luckily most of the time the mom does a lot of the work in taking care of the kittens so we hope that everything goes smoothly and she is able to do so. Once the kittens come hopefully you can find great homes for them all - and hopefully it is a small litter. Our friend who took in theirs had homes pretty quickly - her sister took 2, her mom took 2 and we took 2 (just arrived Sunday) and she is keeping the mom cat. We are sending over lots of purrs for everything to go smoothly with her!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute kitty! Good luck with all those baby kittens.
ReplyDeleteHoly Cow. You guys are gonna have KITTENS????? Nice of you to take in the Mom in Waiting.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice of you guys to take her in but do you think she may be trying to fool you? She doesn't look that pregnant - maybe she's just gotta poop??? Cause my kitty brother has the same belly and Momma says he's been tutored for 15 years.

Twink, you tell M she has a heart of gold! Ferah sure is a pretty kitty (OMD! I can't believe I just said that!) I have to go now, I think I've just lost all my marbles.
