Easter Monday

The feasting continued from yesterday
Before

After

And after-er

I have never eaten more in my entire life. This surpassed even my Christmas feast! I can't wait until next year! I could barely eat my regular dog food. Ha haaa.
Along with the wonderful feasting, we got to visit with lots of family friends. They all love me and my sisters and we all got extra TLC. We were all giddy and overjoyed,  surrounded by family, friends, and M's peanuts.

This year marked another first for me. I have never received an Easter card before now, and look what I got in the mail!

My BFF, Frankie Furter sent me this one
I have never met a more noble guy
You're a good egg too, my furiend! Thank you.

They are all adorable, sweet, and funny
Gunther, my pug, and I are currently trying to see if we're a good match.
What do you think? I would like to meet him in person again before I make up my mind.
Thank you for this unique card.

The fabulous, the extraordinary, the loving furiends at Kissa-Bull sent me this collage
OMD aren't they adorable?
I have always thought so
Thank you my sweet furiends.

My Pug and An Award Ceremony

And The Award Goes To . . .

Before the awards, something dear to me. I got a card from my pug, Gunther. I love surprises and I loved my card. You can look at it if you like.
What?
No, you can't look inside! It's private.
Thank you, my pug. I will cherish your card.

Wait a minute! I got another card! Maybe Gunther is courting me in his own special way after all. He even sent me a pug magnet as a memento.
I love it, but this guy does not look half as cute as the real Gunther.

Now that's my handsome guy!
What? I said, no peaking inside.

----------------------------------------
Look what Huffle passed out! Isn't it cute? It's the "I love you" award. The rules are so simple. You mention who gave it to you, and you spread the love.

As I love all my furiends... You get the rest. Please, take it as a reminder that I am your furiend and I love you. I would gladly paste all your links here, but I'm afraid I'm going to be doing a lot of link pasting when GABE starts. Congratulations on your award that you get for putting up with me. You've earned it.
-------------------------------------------
The next award comes from Tiffy, Cocorue's sister. I was truly impressed at how sweet Tiffy is and how much she's trying to fit in.

How appropriate from a new furiend!

Thank you lil' Tiffane. I didn't need this to be your furiend, but I really appreciate it. As for Coco, you should know that at my home we call you "our good will ambassador" and we love you too. Oh, and please don't keeeeel me if we have any more earthquakes. I'll stay safe, promise.
-----------------------------------------
Last on my list, is the gorgeous custom award the talented and prolific Purple Hatter made me. Again, another surprise. What have I done to deserve this? Thank you!

Stunning!

I'm not ready to pass this on yet. Let me explain. I've had it for a while because I wanted to come up with something special to do with it. Well, I give up for now, so I'm asking for your help. Any suggestions?

Congratulations to all. I feel so blessed to have you as my furiends and I'll keep saying it over and over. I'm grateful and intimidated by how caring you all are.

3 Doxie Pups, A Pug, and a Chi | St. Patrick's Day Double Date

WE ALL MET AT THE PUB
Gunther, the pug, Frankie, and his girrrrls, Penny and Ruby, the doxie pups, and I, the tea cup chihuahua

We decided to start our celebrations early, fully intending on going to bed at a decent time so that we could get up and work on our blogs the following day, today. Gunther, kept calling me his "hot tamale" and tried to give me a beautiful green clover, but it was too heavy. Frankie wore his special hat to impress his girrrls, even though there's no question about it: they love him already. As for him, he's head over heels. He even told me his dad calls him "kitty paddled" BOL

At first we all felt a bit awkward. We've been furiends for so long, but we had never had a gathering like this one before. Frankie and his girrrls went in the back room, since they're by now familiar with each other, but Gunther and I stayed in the front room in awkward silence. He didn't look at me once, except for when I offered him a piece of stew. Ugh..He also kept sticking his tongue out at me, which I find rude. I'm afraid this date will never end.

We decided to barhop and ended here. By now I was hiding behind Frankie to get away from Gunther. The doxie girrrls realized that and graciously decided to loan out their date for a short while. They modeled their beautiful collar covers. Don't they look gorgeous? The pug did strike a pose as well. He's so good looking, too bad he's still guarding his real feelings. Maybe he was traumatized by another Chi-girl when he was younger.
As for Frankie, as you can see, he's so caring that he even brought his oil lamp, fully realizing the risk to his beautiful furs. That is love!

Several bars and pints of green beer later, we finally loosened up. My pug, Gunther was hilarious, a quality I find most attractive in a man. He even laughed at my jokes. After closing, Frankie, the long haired doxie, and I jumped over the bar and kept on pouring. We were all having a blast and did not want the night to end.

Unfortunately, all good things come to an end. It was early the next morning (today) we finally decided to call it a quits. Frankie escorted the girrrls home--but check out the expression on his face! I wonder what he's got in his mind... Gunther did his best not to get drunk. He started drinking Tequila a while back in preparation; however, he did get a little tipsy and had to sit down for a moment. I called 1-800-GOOD-SAMARITAN and they gave me a lift.

Thanks furiends! I had the best St Patrick's Day ever. What are you doing for Easter?

Post Valentine's Day Update | Valentine Cards

What a nutty and incredible weekend this turned out to be! First off, the Max Tour virus spread over many of our blogs turning blog-land into an awesome extended family. It turns out that the main theme of the Max Tour, besides the celebration of his life, was that good f(u)riends are to be cherished forever. I love our blogging community. You guys rock!

There was the matter of a certain handsome pug fellow to court as well. He didn't do much courting himself, so I had to do most of the work including the photosh-- (oops).
Gunther, the pug, probably out of guilt after seeing Frankie Furter's, the doxie, special attention to his girls, decided, and told me over the phone, that he's going to tattoo my name on his arm. I was really excited and asked him to use my full name: Conchita Twinkie Twinkerson Doodle-bug. Gunther and I never actually got to go on a date, but that's just fine because I would have had to have dinner with Brutus who recently beat me in a V-Day photo contest. I'm still a bit sore from that, just a tad.

The other issue that upset my family peace this weekend is that of the valentine cards. All these came for me!
The top one is from my pug's family. I though it was the best among all valentine cards ever. You know why? It was my first! I thank you.
The one below my Gunther's is from our furiends the Houston Pittie Pack. Guero and I have been meaning to meet for some cold cervezas, but I'll have to run it by Gunther at this point. Thank you all for the beautiful card.
And the bright pink one? I would have guessed it was Mona from miles away. It was!!! Thank you Mona and The Mommy!

Now, what's upsetting about all those beautiful cards, you may wonder. Here, I'll show you M's cards.
What was she complaining about? It's all about quality, not quantity!

Regardless, Frankie who is both a cracker-dog bratwurst chiweenie and not able to deal with puppy potty training still, decided to get creative for our momma.

Remember this?
Bad Frankie

Good Frankie replaced it with this:

No comment and No puppy potty training tips either

What a weekend! I'm exhausted already. What's next? M and Frankie walking off into the sunset leaving us lots with a dog treat? We shall see, won't we?

Blue Heeler | Whatcha Looking At?

That's pretty much what yesterday's comments were mostly about. What did you all want to know? Frankie and I were posing. When my blue heeler furiends, Gus, Louie, and Callie, the Three Happy Heelers, pose for photos, nobody asks them whether they're looking for pizza, or trouble. Nobody asks them "Whatcha Looking At?" OMD, why me?

In any case, I decided to give meaning to the pose and admit (lie) that I was watching the filming of the video you're about to view. After it was a wrap, then we had pizza,  JackDaddy, and ice cream, Remington, and steaks, Fiona, and yes, a cute Pug walked by too, Salinger. I was slightly touched when Sonic said he thought we smelled something really nice. He's a stinker that one and I didn't expect him to use the words "nice" and "smell" in the same sentence.

The pathetic truth: I love aaaaall your comments. Yup, yup, that's right and don't you forget. Every day, our pack can't wait to shove M off her computer chair so we can read your posts and comments.

Here's the video we shot last. It's about safety awareness, if you haven't left yet. I was just pulling all your legs. Hope you like!

Pardon me, but I have to run now. I was just informed I have a lovely award waiting for me over at The Fiesty Three. I crashed a birthday party there recently and instead of blacklisting me, they made me their furiend. What a pack!

Adopt A Pet | The Barn

Apparently there was some confusion about The Barn. What is it? What am I doing there? Here's the scoop: my human sissy, Sister D, is an avid rider and has been since she was five years old. Her barn, where she practices, is more than dog friendly. Most people there, have rescue dogs (between 2-10 each), and believe me when I say that's not all they've rescued. They're all completely committed to animal rescue--of all sorts. Small dog rescue, large dog rescue, horse rescue, cat rescue... Our barn has it all.  It's dog heaven , I tell you! I love going there. We're all welcome and we all welcome each other. We're grateful to have nice homes and a lovely playground around gorgeous horses that we interact with. Here are some of my barn photos. I hope you get the feel.
In this photo, I'm riding Parker. I ride bareback too.

I have to use these steps to mount Parker, but somebody left me an insurmountable obstacle.

Some of the other rescue dogs, my co-rescues.
See the pug and dachshund puppies?
My BFF, Boomer, the chihuahua, sunning himself on a cold and sunny winter day.
Many of the horses are very interested in what we do
Maddi, the blue heeler, is our leader

A break for a brief chihuahua and chiweenie meeting on strategy.

Here's my Boom Boom again, when he was younger. We've been friends for a while.

I am the happiest when I'm at the barn. It makes me want to dance with joy!
I hope you enjoyed my little tour. The barn and our hiking adventures motivate me to get stronger and healthier every day.
