Chihuahua Pictures | Junior's Back

Junior's back with his Rhodesian ridgeback siblings. Many of you asked if we're keeping him. That was the plan, but the Rhodesian ridgeback duo would have none of that. They are convinced that he'll grow up to be a rhodie someday.
In any case, as we're trying to put our home back in order, Junior's pictures will do. M only got a few hundred of them.

Today's edition of chihuahua pictures

(like the plumbers, yesterday)

 What's this?
A brave chiweenie???

Junior passing my sniff test

I have a good idea of who is Junior's favorite from my pack.
It's the senior dog. Quick update: my older sissy is now on Rimadyl and she's comfortable
.
Awww, it's The Hand, another hand, not to be confused with the hand-shaped dog leash designed by Alice Wang!
I hope all of today's puppy cuteness didn't deter you from voting (tab up top: Furry Tails) in our latest pet photo contest (4 days left). I wonder who's going to win the pawesome prizes from Clean+Green by SeaYu!

The Flood and The Dog Stroller

We had yet another house flood today. It happens frequently at my home. What's unique about this flood is the heavily built guys who came to "save us". I better use illustrations for this one or you won't believe me.

The burly plumbers are afraid of me, the tiny dog! For pizzle's sake! BOL
M had to stick the chiweenie and me in the dog stroller for their protection.
Poor Linguini has been banned in the back yard, and it's cold.

Afraid of lil' me?

What a joke!

I guess I'm going to have to resort to some of this . . .

. . . and some of that.

Don't worry about us. Like I said, we are used to this and we have our
Kyjen Company Outward Hound Pet Saver Life Jacket Orange Medium Item #591
all ready!

I see there's a whole lotta voting going on for the latest pet photo contest. You can view all the entries by clicking on the tab labeled: Furry Tails, at the top of this page.
Remember, there are still five days left until the polls close. Anything is possible!

I Like Pet Bums and I Cannot Lie

Actually, I just did. It would be more accurate to state that I used to love pet behinds until this contest. I know, I know, I was asking for it, back to back contests. . . butt my work is done. Yours is just beginning.

We got plenty to chose from:

Big tushies, small tushies, chunky, or scrawny,
designer dog and confused dog hineys too,
cows, dogs, and cats,
from the most artistic to the present-offering bums,
muscular and athletic, to poor and pathetic,
long tails, curly tails, and no tails too . . .
Bottom line: It's all up to YOU!

I opted to do a public vote again for two reasons: a. the entries were extraordinary and b. the Clean+Green free giveaways are pawesome. How can a teacup chihuahua make such a momentous decision?

You can view all the entries by clicking at the tab labeled Pet Photo Contest: Furry Tails at the top of this page. You can vote up to five times on the sidebar.

I would like to wish all the entrants best of luck and may the best hineys win!

And if anybody was expecting a post from me today... for pizzle's sake, not a chance! BOL

Toilet Dog Bowl Needs A Hand

I recently discovered an amazing new dog product. It's the hand-shaped dog leash! There are many kinds of dog leashes in the market: nylon, leather, braided, colorful, retractable, flexi, hemp . . . but a hand-shaped one? I'd never seen one before, so let me share a product stock photo:
The hand-shaped dog leash
aka
"The Hand"
A new movie based on a Steven King novel

What I'm really curious about is, what did the creators of the hand-shaped dog leash have in mind? Other than the fact that it's really hand-y.

Ten Top Hypothetical uses for the hand-shaped dog leash

 1. Lack of boyfriend or girlfriend
 2. Missing human contact
 3. Dog walking and simultaneous back scratching
 4. Fear of germs on actual leash?
 5. Needed another hand to match the one sticking out of the back of the car trunk
 6. Neighborhood burglar who doesn't want to leave fingerprints
 7. Someone who keeps misplacing their dog leash and need a hand finding it
 8. Easier to scratch dog owner's hiney with while walking the dog
 9. The dog walker is Captain Hook
10. A mess free hand ... (Deleted by blog owner because it was R-rated)

Miscelanious Hand-Shaped Dog Leash Uses

The better to push the dog stroller with

A nice stroll in Venice
Especially "handy" for tall people

I'm sure I'm going to get comments full of insightful and comical potential hand-shaped dog leash uses, but beat this one:

The Hand was created to better flush the . . .

Toilet Dog Bowl

The Hand: "Allow me to flush it for you, young master."

This concludes today's post about The Hand.
PS: If you need a hands free dog leash, simply remove The Hand.

Chihuahua Pictures | Pet Photo Contest In Progress

Junior, the baby chihuahua rescue, the tiny dog that is half my size and five times smaller than my brindle chiweenie sissy, spent the day at my house yesterday. M got enough photos to post on our blog for the rest of the year. Since Junior's got such a warm response, I'll share many of M's chihuahua pictures in the days to come. He's irresistible! Believe me when I tell you, even our cats liked the little guy, and that says a lot!
Before I share the pictures, my apologies to Tank. The rule is that none of my family members may enter. Since Junior is sadly not my pack-mate, his entry is valid. Sorry Tank, but you should know that disheveled or not you're adorable yourself.

A Baby Bro For The Rhodesian Ridgeback Sibs

Hear ye, hear ye! Our beauteous and bodacious super-sized rhodie friends, are fostering a new baby brother. I shall temporarily refer to him as Junior--until the rhodies or his forever home decide on his final name.
Before I bombard you with Junior photos, allow me to share some stats with you.

Hank: male rhodesian ridgeback, age 4, weight 95lbs
Sue: female rhodesian ridgeback, age 4, weight 93lbs
Junior: most likely chihuahua, just over 4 weeks, weight 2lbs.

Does anybody else see anything wrong with this picture or is it just me, Twinkie? For the record, I, Twinkie, a 4-pound teacup chihuahua, am really excited to be in the company of somebody who weighs half as much as I do. I hope M adopts him and he becomes mine, all mine. I didn't even dare dream of such possibility, but as I've said over and over in the past, life is good for this rescue dog, and life will be equally good for the new chihuahua rescue, Junior.

With no further ado, I would like to present to you, JUNIOR!

 Junior upon arrival.
A few minutes later, the yellow towel was pooped on.

Perhaps this is why Junior pooped on his yellow towel.

He seems to be hard of hearing (BOL)

He is a good eater and quite polite too. He made sure his ears didn't touch his food.

 Isn't he adorable?

I have even more exciting news to share. Junior would like to participate in "Furry Tails", our latest Pet Photo Contest.

 Potential contest entry

Good luck, Junior, we all welcome you with open arms and hearts!
