Thank You All For Your . . . Condolences . . .

. . . about my enormous vet bill!

You were so funny and inspiring that, instead of a post, I decided to share your hilarious comments.

Oh my Twink! I gotta go find out just what the heck happened that your PUs will now need to get second jobs. They shouldn't be too upset once they realize they've been added to the vet's Christmas card list.

GULP! That's what's SUP.

Woofs and expensive slobbers,
Chester ;0=)

Pee. Ess. - I hope you're all better now.

Yikes, Twink! Did your human need a her blood pressure checked after that? We can see you gots lots of kisses and snuggs to give your human after that little trip. We just hope there is enough green papers left for kibble, good thing you are tiny and don't eat much. We thinks you were probably worth all them green papers but we didn't have to write the check or slide the plastic. BOL...SO SO glad you are feeling better. Sniffs, The HoundDogs

We aren't surprised... Mom got an estimate recently to get Pippen's teeth cleaned and that was for $1000!

I ran into those types of bills with my last dog, so I got insurance for Jack right when I got him. It's about $250/year, but when you're looking at $5000-$6000 vet bills, it's worth it.

We thought you stole Lily's dermatologist bill. You are worth every penny Twink

Yikes, Twink - there had best not be a next time, but if there is, do it on the weekdays so at least there would ba a bit of a break.

We figure that's about $398.68/lb. Better than than the going rate for gold, we suspect.

Stay well, pal, M can't have you getting sick any more.

Seriously, glad you are home and doing better.

Oh, dear, Twinkie! I hope you are OK. I went to the (vet) spa today and got my toenails clipped. They gave me a great deal. Maybe it was because I have blue eyes.

Is that your vet bill or your share of the national debt? Sacre bleu! We're most happy to see you are recovering and are receiving excellent nursing care with a private duty kitteh nurse. What the h&%* happened? We're envisioning rivers of blood flowing from a discretely unnamed orifice*. Did you rupture something rough housing and can you blame it on Pedro?

Your new job will pay that bill in no time Twinkie. Or not. We doggies don't come cheap. Our humans can't expect to do things like own anything and have us at the same time, now can they? No, for the most part, they can't.

JackDaddy said...

That's a LOT of comments! If you would charge a dollar for each one, you could pay the bill! :)

Looks like you're primed to enter and win Honey's Dancing With the Doggie Stars contest! The publicity from a win that big could launch a lucrative new career; it's done it for past contestants on the peeps' version. We're hearing 'Dancing Queen' in our heads, but feel free to pick your own music. Oh, I think one of your peeps has to dance with you, but they don't have to do much; all eyes will be on you, as well they should be. Of course, better take doctor's advice before you start anything strenuous. Wouldn't want to risk another rupture, dear Twinks.

Twink - Our hu-dad was so busy this week that he didn't read any blogs so we just found out about your expensive adventure. Queen Natasha is quite proud of you because she decided to get all sick on Christmas Eve and get hospitalized into Christmas Day. Apparently, that can rack up the vet bills too!

Glad you are better.

Twink,

I can see many of the humans know the pain of vet bills BUT we are so worth it. About 5 years ago my cat-sister Libby, the Queen of my Dawg House, went outside and was attacked by a loose dawg. As a result she lost her leg. I don't want to say how much her vet bill was but as a hint, x5 of yours. Five years later, Libby is still with us, hobbling around on her 3 legs, as happy as a clam. Yes, we are worth every penny and I am so glad you're doing better!

Pedro
