Once Upon A Time

A Story about a real Great Dane and a Great Dane Wanna-Be

Once Upon a Time . . .
Ziggy, the real Great Dane, got a hold of a dog toy, the famous Mr. Chicken.
Ziggy fell in love with Mr. Chicken and made him squeak-a-lot.

Pedro, the tiny orange Great Dane Wanna-Be loved Mr. Chicken too, so he waited for a chance to play with him too.

 And waited . . .

And finally, Ziggy took a tiny break from chewing Mr. Chicken.

RUH-ROH!!!

This Real Great Dane is super sweet, but not as smart. Besides, he's only a puppy!

Ziggy eventually tried to get Mr. Chicken back, but the tiny orange Pedrito taunted him with it. Neh, nah, nah, nah...

And some more taunting . . . Hey, nah, neh, nah . . .Vaya Con Dios

Ziggy eventually got Mr. Chicken back and then Pedro and then Ziggy and then Pedro and then Ziggy and ... I think you get the picture!

Sasha At the Emergency Vet's Lobby

When Ziggy, Sasha's bro, was hospitalized at midnight last Friday, after getting stung by a bee . . . Sasha waited patiently for him.

"Huh, what? Ziggy, is that you? Are you ok?"

"I'm ready to go home, siss!"

Ziggy's First Vet VisitS

Yesterday, at 3 PM, Sasha and Ziggy, our two Great Dane puppies, went to the vet and got their last set of puppy shots. They were exemplary and I will share photos of the sibs waiting to see the doctor. They thoroughly enjoyed their visit, did not feel any discomfort from the shots, got lots of TLC and even lots of treats! Overall, they made our pack proud!

It was close to midnight. M was holding me while admiring her sleeping babies nearby when she squealed and jumped up so fast, I was afraid she'd drop me. I looked and was shocked myself. Ziggy's face had doubled! Aha!

Ziggy had an allergic reaction

Because Ziggy had just had his shots, M decided to take him straight to the emergency hospital. She took Sasha too with her, just so that she could observe her. The visit was brief and Ziggy was treated with a simple dose of antihistamine. He was apparently and most likely stung by a bee.

The swelling is almost gone today, but M and the danes sure could use some sleep!

We're All So Happy

Just wanted to share some happy photos with y'all...

Yesterday, Ms Momma Duck, Mallory, had a rough awakening. A huge gray hawk was sitting in wait to get her and her babies. No worries for now, Mallory and the family are safe. M's appearance was enough to scare the naughty hawk away, but it was scary nonetheless. Experts say that once the ducks have become full fledglings is the time to set them free, but seriously now? How fast will those babies fly compared to a hawk?

 Happy Frankie

Ziggy loves our yard. He's going to the vet today because of a minor health problem. Everybody at our vet's office is really excited. They love us there--all of us.
As for me . . . Twinkie Tiny Dog,
I love my life. I'm stronger than EVER! I eat all my meals and enjoy bossing the gentle giants around.
