Cat Rescue Cats Gone Wild and Terrible Twos

No, I'm not talking about the age. I'm referring to our cats, the infamous twins, Bob (gray) and Jet (black?). Remember the cat rescue story? As you know, they are the cause of much cat-astrophe in our home, especially if there is a catnip toy involved. I have been telling you about how Jet casually and frequently whacks us all as we go by her. I just discovered two videos to prove it. Unfortunately, you'll have to wait for the good one: Jet v. Frankie since we haven't caught the culprit with our candid camera yet.
In video #1 (all you impatient ones go directly to the 18th second, jeez) you see a typical moment in my house. We're in the kitchen and Bob wants to steal some catnip out of the hanging basket. Jet just sits patiently in wait! While they were up there, couldn't they at least have done their dishes? I suggest you turn the volume up. You can actually hear the...
Whack!
A catnip effect

In video #2 Bob is again exploring the magic catnip basket. Yes, we do realize he has a problem. We're looking for a good catnip detox clinic if you know of one. In any case, you can witness again Jet's whacking technique (35th second for the lazy ones). This is a quiet blow as Jet is constantly trying to perfect her technique.
And Whack

This is what we have to put up with at mi casa. I realize that our situation is embarrassing and that my ego should be at least mildly bruised (along with my head), but I'm old enough to know that all good families have their issues, and mine's no exception. Catnip effects are both our entertainment and possibly our demise.

That's what happens when you let cats into your home. I make it a point to always chase those evil cats away whenever I see one!

Teehee! It's been YEARS since we've had a cat who could actually get up on the counters! Thanks for the note, BTW.

My cats not only walk on every counter, they swat you if you walk by. I couldn't imagine them not jumping up. I would think they were sick or something!

OMD!!! Bob & Jet must be related to the katz in my house. The one puffs up like a puffer fish and hisses and spits at me (gross). Another has crazy fast paws and gets about 5 whacks in a split second. It's all a blur to me and I'm just left stunned with a numb nose! But, hmmm.... maybe you can use that catnip addiction to your advantage. hmmmm...

Twink, Jet is a brat! I don't care how ya twist it. She just ain't nice. I thinks she needs an cattidue adjustment and you're just the diva to do it! Lemme know if ya need some help. I'll be sure to be washing my hair or something'...

Love ya girlfriend,

That is so funny, Mum is chuckling away.
When you send Bob to catnip rehab we think you should book Jet in for an anger management course too!

Bob that is too funny. Oh my word sitting here watching I could see the moment the smack was about to happen. You are very trusting to turn your back on Jet. HA
Tell your mom we love her sink and faucet.
Twinkie Madi is blushing from your very nice comment.

We have never had a cat in the house! We are not sure quite what to make of them. Our mum has a cat for 22 years who lived with two different dogs - they had a bit of a love/hate relationship! The cat was always the boss and they give good smacks - be very careful!

Wow, Jet really has that sneak attack down to perfection. If we hadn't known it was coming, we would have been very surprised. We are glad we don't have to put up with that here. But it is fun to see. Does Jet ever whack you, Twink? Bet she doesn't dare.

Woos, the OP Pack

Wow, that Jet has a mean right hook! BabyRD says her old Persian(no longer with us) used to take a swipe at her when he got sick of her puppy shenanigans. I don't think I'd be good with cats,'cuz I like to chase stuff!!
WelshieHugs, Hootie

How come those cats are allowed up on the counter?? I get in trouble for just sticking my nose too close!!

Hi sweetheart! We are so glad to add a new follower to our bloggie!!!

The kiddlets - Captain Crunch and Candy especially love getting new Chihuahua followers. They are two rescue pups... thankfully they were not sick like you, just puppies without a home. we are glad you found your forever home and got all fixed up at the vet.

I see several painful experiences from my k9 furiends and a couple of misleading comments from my kat-furiends. Like, how did Madi notice Momma's sink? BOL Oh, and hello new furiends!
