The outdoor cat enclosure was a minor annoyance. I had to hang out and watch M working for a day. I didn't get to go on a hike, but it was just one day, so I didn't mind much. Besides, I liked the fact that the cats would have something to do other than chase me, the brindle chiweenie around the house. Now, I've mustered the courage to speak of the unspeakable!
The real reason I do NOT like the newborn kittens:
I was used as a . . . DEMO kitten!!!
My otherwise beloved dog vet, used me, Frankie, a dog, a brindle chiweenie to be precise, as a means to demonstrate how to administer deworming medication for the kittens.
Silly kittens. They're getting bigger and louder every day. I feel sorry for their mom. The following kitten video proves it. Turn the volume down.

I love kitties - in theory - but even I would have been pretty ticked at being a demo kitten. Unless - was there pay involved? It seems like a job that should come with paid compensation to me. I have to tell you, looking at the kitty enclosure it's looking like you're going to have to adjust to the idea. They don't seem to be going anywhere any time soon. Best of luck to you.

WHOA! There was not enough warning on that video. The hu-dad was just mugged by 6 eager Siberian Huskies. Hu-dad promises to never play that video again.
Frankie that is too bad that you were used as a demo kitten for the worming meds. But you were so sweet to put up with it. And the cat enclosure will be a good way to keep the cats and kittens entertained (we are actually super jealous of it because it is awesome). And boy that video got us riled up - we couldn't figure out where that kitten crying was til mom told us it was a video.
We think that the kittens are very lucky to have awesome doggies around like you - it is important for kittens to learn that doggies aren't scary or mean.
And seriously that cat enclosure is awesome - tell your mom she should go to http://catioshowcase.com/ when it is done and submit it because it rocks!

Horrors - a demo kitten??? silly vet -what was he thinking?
Mom tried to catch it on video but she wasn't quick enough - Ciara went crazy hearing the kitties squealing away. We will have to try again.

Wow, no doubt about it...that's a PALACE! What luxury those cats get to live in...how cool! Mom says she wishes our neighbors would build one of those so their cats could be outside but NOT be able to jump over our fence and do their stinky business in our yard! ;) I don't mind but she sure does. Anyway, how rude that you were used as a demo dog...I hope it wasn't too traumatic. I thought the Momma cat was very cute giving her baby a bath...those kitties sure are cute although I am sure you are SICK of hearing that. ;)

We have to say that your mom did a pawsome job on the cat palace, and, unfortunately, it does look like some of the kitties are there to stay. Butt think of it this way, just a couple of more fur brothers and sisters to have fun with!
