Offended Teacup Chihuahua | Hasta La Vista, Baby

Something terrible and shocking happened at my house yesterday, right in the middle of my part of the contest over at Mango Minster, M lost me! Let me tell you exactly what happened.
Earlier that day, we went on a hike. On our way out, I was afraid to go out the door. What if the monster closed while I was trying to get in the garage? What if it flattened me? I have to think about this stuff. M picked me up and off we went. On our way back, her hands were full. You guessed right. I was stuck in an empty cold garage for an entire 7,200 seconds, I was locked in there, like the garbage cans that surrounded me.
After a lifetime of abandonment, I finally heard M go, "Where's the Twink?" I wasn't gonna respond. Huh! She lost me, she better find me, right? The decibel level was going up. I could hear her screaming now, both inside and outside the house; front and back yard. Inside, she opened and closed all the doors and cabinets. She was pleading with Linguini and Frankie to tell her where I was. You see, we live in the mountains, among raccoons, owls, hawks, bob cats, coyotes and mountain lions. All of them are very valid threats to me.
At long last, the door to the garage opened and M squealed. After picking me up and taking me to the nearest heating pad, she started cussing herself out. Yup, yup, true story. That's when I made up my mind.

I asked Frankie to pack my suitcase. She even packed IT!
(for the non-followers and the half-arse ones too: IT was the decoration I was subjected to for a recent Valentine's Day dog photo contest session, the pink sssnake with the hearts)

Meanwhile, Bob was overseeing and I was worried he'd tell M.

Okay, chiweenie, I got it from here!
(I could tell she was drooling over my chewy)

Whaat? Oh, the cable? I don't go anywhere without my heating pad.

Indeed, Bob was not concerned.

You should have thought of it sooner, Frankie.
I suppose we have time for a few zzzs.

After my nap, I'll decide how to proceed. Meanwhile, if any of you have room for a tiny teacup chihuahua furiend who will not eat you out of house and home (hear ye, hear ye parents of Mango, Tucker, Darwin, Remington, Wolfies, and ... I don't need to embarrass everybody), do drop me a line.

Hi Twink!

Give your mom a break... I sometimes "loose" Captain, only to realize he is sleeping away on the couch, you see he blends in and wont wake up and I run around for a long time before I realize he's safe and sound snoozing away. You should only be mad at her if she hadn't been trying to find you!!!

In any event, if you're still looking for a place to stay, feel free to head up our way to San Francisco... the kiddlets would love to show you a good time downtown and we have plenty of extra plug ins for your heating pad!

Oh sweetie Twink...you can come and live with me anytime you like...But your poor mommy, she will be heartbroken if you run away. Plus we don't have any cool horses or fun friends like you have in California. Maybe you can just inflict a little Twinkie Stink Eye to punish her. BOL
PS...you look very fetching in your suitcase!

Twink, you can totally come live with me! I've got a little space left on my couch. But it's super cold here so bring your coat. And Pee. S. my momma has a heated matress pad, that's tempting to you right, right?

I don't mean to sound picky, furiends, but if it's cold where you're at, feel free to not invite me. I need mandatory plug ins, and of course if there are beers and liver treats involved, I don't mind the temperature so much ;)

Oh the horrors!
You can come stay with us, though you'd have to be sure to pack your own heating pad as we don't have one, though you could just lay on Darwin and that could work too.
You can eat all the kibbles she drops all over the house.. I'm sure that'll be enough food for tiny you!

ME ME ME COME STAY WITH ME. I have lots of places for your heater bed to get plugged in. We have LOTS of electric stuff that comes out of the walls. You can even go downstairs to the den where the WOODBURNER IS!!! Of course... I am going to get this snow storm tomorrow, you will have to hurry.
My dad locked me in the garage ONCE!!! That taught him a lesson. Mom and I BOTH gave him the cold tail for 87 days!!!
How soon can you get here??? If you make it TODAY we will be able to play outside. I did it once already today. I have pictures of me and my furend Oreo playing in the SNOWLESS yard. I'll put some pics on my blog tomorrow. I don't have any liver treats, butt I do have some chicken jerky. Dad has beer. Mom has this water looking stuff she calls Full Moon Shining or something like that. Butt I'm not supposed to tell that she has it. Sooo numbs the lips. I'm just sayin'.

Oh Twink, how dreadful for you - so very scary for your little self.
We just loved your post and the pics of you packing your case - we were surprised that such a little doggie needed such a big case!
Still once we could see you fitted in too we relaxed - after all you were never going to manage to pull that around the airport.
We would always welcome you here in Scotland - we just love your cuteness and , yes it has to be said, your cheekiness.
We know how much you are loved though - you could tell by the shrieks!
We suggest milking it for as many treats as your little tummy can manage and then kiss and make up.
love and kisses

Poor old Twink, getting locked in the garage, not as bad as poor old Mum though - we can imagine how frantic she must have been.
Those are great photos of your escape would you like a trip to UK. We would love to have your but it's only fair to warn you, it is cld and wet 11.5 months of the year.
Mum asks your Mum, don't you get frightened hiking where there are such dangerous animals, the worst we are liable to come accross is a hedgehog!
Wags and kisses, Dinah Bridget and Elliot xx

Twinkie,

You are too much! Your mom loves you, and she didn't mean to lose you. And, she didn't even *really* lose you.

If you are intent on this plan, I bet that you can find a battery powered heating pad on the web. But, I'd suggest staying home.

And, what's Frankie doing helping you with such a half-baked plan?

Moms, can't live with 'em.....
I would tell you to come and stay with me and we would have a blast but it is very cold and snowy here. I know how much I hate and I'm not the tiniest dog in the world ;o) How about I come and stay with you in the winter (I can set your mom straight) and you come and stay with me in the summer!
Snuggles,
Twix
PS: That pic of Frankie with her paw pointing at you is WONDERFUL!
